John Ondrush holds a degree in Physical Therapy from The State University of New York at Stony Brook and is a certified golf fitness, TPI Fitness and Medical instructor. John specializes in sports medicine, rehabilitation, as well as strength and conditioning, 3-D biomechanics and swing analysis for golfers. John is the only golf fitness professional in the country certified as a medical and fitness professional by the Titleist Performance Institute and also holds a position on the Callaway golf company’s master staff. He established the John Ondrush Golf Fitness Academy in Syosset, New York, as a state of the art golf specific training center for golfers. The academy is equipped with "About Golf" simulators with high speed cameras, "V1" video analysis, "SAM" putting lab, putting green, indoor bunkers and short game area, a full golf-specific gym and much more. John has provided hundreds of amateur and professional golfers with golf specific programs for rehabilitation and conditioning and has worked with top professionals like Rory Mcilroy, Justin Rose and many more throughout his career.
Over the last 16 years, John has completed many advanced certification programs including the World Golf Fitness Summit Certification, The John Barnes Institute Manual Therapy Certification, and the Pebble Beach Back to Golf Advanced Program for Physical Therapy and Golf Fitness; he is also an ACE certified personal trainer. His DVD, “Ten Steps to Golf Fitness” has been distributed nationwide and offers a comprehensive program for stretching and strengthening. John was an official trainer and therapist for the Tour Professionals of the 2009 US Open. His articles and fitness routines have been featured in Golf Magazine, Newsday and LI Golfer. John can also be seen on his golf fitness show on Channel 12 every week during the golf season.
